RAMS PIPPED AT THE POST, AGAIN!

Beaconsfield were knocked out of the Berks & Bucks FA cup in the semi-final, loosing 2-1.

Beaconsfield tried to take control from the off, creating good chances and controlling the midfield. Despite Flackwell Heath growing into the game as the half wore on, it was The Rams who looked like scoring and should have probably gone into the break leading. They went closes through Ibby Sankoh, whose fierce shot cannoned back off the post midway through the half.

After the break Flackwell piled on the pressure and took the lead early in the second half through Michael Harding, who had only just entered the game. He cut inside and smashed the ball home.

It didn’t take long for The Rams to draw themselves level, a scramble in the box saw Manu Oke-William bundle the ball across the line. Beaconsfield looked to create more chances as they tried to win the game, but as the half wore on a draw looked a fair result.

Beaconsfield were dealt a cruel blow in added time, when Harding scored again with seconds remaining to win the game and send Flackwell Heath into the final. His goal came after a rebound in the box fell to him to smash home in the dying seconds.

Beaconsfield are back in action in the league on Saturday, with a trip to Thame.
